Paradise is a tiny town of 600 people about 40 miles northwest of Fort Worth in rural Wise County. Take US 380 west from Denton through Decatur, or US 287 northwest from Fort Worth to connect with 380. The agricultural community sits in rolling Cross Timbers prairie and was named Paradise in the 1850s by settlers who thought the area's natural beauty and fertile soil earned such an optimistic name.
