Pana is a small central Illinois city at the intersection of US Route 29 and Illinois Route 16, about 30 miles from Springfield. Most visitors exit I-55 at Route 16 or drive south from Springfield on US 29 through farmland. The town sits in corn and soybean country with a continental climate. Pana's claim to fame is Kitchell Park's distinctive round barn from 1910.
