Palouse is a small farming town of about 1,100 people in southeastern Washington's wheat country. Take State Route 272 from Colfax (15 miles southwest) or approach from Spokane via US 195 (45 miles north). The town sits in a river valley surrounded by the rolling hills that make this one of America's top wheat regions. The old concrete railroad bridge still spans the Palouse River right through downtown.
