Palmyra is a small Wisconsin city of 2,200 people located 45 miles southwest of Milwaukee in Jefferson County's scenic Kettle Moraine region. Highway 106 connects directly to I-94 near Johnson Creek, making it the main route from Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago, while Highway 59 runs north-south through town toward Lake Geneva and Watertown. The downtown features the historic 1858 Palmyra Community Library, housed in the original limestone bank building.
