Palestine is a tiny farming village in western Ohio's Darke County, reached via State Route 121 about 15 miles northeast of Greenville. Most visitors arrive from Dayton (45 miles southeast) or use county roads connecting to neighboring rural communities. The village sits amid Ohio's characteristic corn and soybean country with gently rolling terrain. Palestine operates one of the state's smallest post offices, continuously serving fewer than 200 residents since the 1800s.
