Palestine is a small Delta farming town of 800 people in eastern Arkansas, reached via Highway 261 from Interstate 40 at Forrest City. Located about 85 miles east of Little Rock and 45 miles from Memphis, it sits in prime cotton and soybean country. The town was named after Palestine, Tennessee, by settlers who migrated westward in the 1800s.
