Page sits in northern Arizona's high desert at 4,300 feet, serving as the gateway to Lake Powell and Glen Canyon. US 89 is the main route, connecting south to Flagstaff (135 miles) and north to Utah. Most visitors come for Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, with the town offering hotels and services for canyon country exploration. The entire city was built from scratch in the 1950s to house workers constructing Glen Canyon Dam.
