Paden is a small farming town of 391 people in east-central Oklahoma, about 45 miles southeast of Oklahoma City. Take I-40 east to the Okemah exit, then Highway 56 south. The 1936 red brick school building with limestone trim remains the town's most recognizable landmark from its more populous past.
