Pacifica hugs the coast just south of San Francisco, where Highway 1 winds through valleys between ocean bluffs. Most visitors drive down I-280 and connect to Highway 1 at Daly City for the scenic coastal route. The city stretches along several beaches with neighborhoods climbing into the surrounding hills, and morning fog typically clears by afternoon. The Taco Bell at Pacifica Pier is the only beachfront location of the chain anywhere in the world.
