Pacific Junction is a small Mills County town of 150 people in southwestern Iowa, positioned along the Missouri River valley. Highway 34 provides the main east-west route through town, connecting to Interstate 29 and the Omaha metro area about 30 miles east. Most traffic consists of local farm routes and travelers heading to nearby Offutt Air Force Base. The town gets its name from the historic railroad junction where two major lines once intersected.
