Oxford is a small farming town in western Indiana, near the Illinois border at the intersection of State Road 55 and County Road 400 South. It's about 25 miles northwest of Lafayette, with access via I-65 south to Lafayette then local roads northwest. The surrounding Benton County features flat agricultural land typical of Indiana's prairie region. Oxford's historic grain elevator stands as a prominent landmark visible for miles across the flat farmland.
