Owosso is a small central Michigan city about 30 miles northeast of Lansing, accessible via M-21 east-west and M-52 north-south, with I-69 just 15 minutes away. The city sits along the Shiawassee River and serves surrounding farm communities. Its claim to fame is the Steam Railroading Institute, home to the Pere Marquette 1225 locomotive that inspired "The Polar Express" movie.
