Owenton is a small county seat in north-central Kentucky, home to about 1,500 people along US Route 127. The town sits roughly 45 miles north of Louisville via I-71 and connects to surrounding communities through Kentucky Route 22. Its historic 1857 brick courthouse with its original working clock tower remains the centerpiece of the downtown square.
