Oviedo is a suburban city about 20 miles northeast of Orlando, accessible via State Road 426 (Alafaya Trail) from University Boulevard or the 408 toll road. I-4 connects through several exits, with SR-434 east being popular for out-of-town visitors. The area features rolling hills, lakes, and oak hammocks typical of central Florida. The city maintains over 45 miles of nature trails, including the Cross Seminole Trail that follows an old railroad corridor through downtown.
