Ottertail is a small Minnesota farming town of 490 people along Highway 78, about 12 miles from Fergus Falls and 2.5 hours west of Minneapolis via I-94. The area features rolling prairie and numerous lakes typical of Otter Tail County. The town's century-old wooden grain elevator still operates today, one of the few original structures of its kind remaining in Minnesota.
