Osgood is a small Indiana town of 1,600 people in Ripley County, about an hour from both Indianapolis and Cincinnati. State Road 350 runs right through town, connecting to I-74 via Batesville to the west and US 421 through Versailles to the east. The area features rolling farmland and wooded hills typical of southeastern Indiana. The town's 1887 covered bridge over Laughery Creek is one of the state's few remaining examples of Burr arch truss construction.
