Oroville is a small border town of 1,600 people in north-central Washington, just two miles from Canada. Highway 97 runs right through town, connecting south to Tonasket and Wenatchee or north to the Osoyoos border crossing for trips into British Columbia's wine country. The town sits in the high desert where the Okanogan and Similkameen rivers meet, surrounded by rolling hills and apple orchards. Look for the vintage Camaray Motel neon sign that still lights up the desert sky each night.
