Orestes is a tiny farming community in east-central Indiana, about 12 miles northeast of Anderson via State Road 28. Most visitors come through Anderson from I-69, making this a quiet rural stop rather than a major destination. The town sits among typical Indiana farmland with a population of around 240. You can still see traces of the old Pennsylvania Railroad grade that once ran through town.
