Oreana is a small farming community in central Illinois, about 15 miles southeast of Decatur via Route 105. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 72, taking the Route 105 exit and driving through corn and soybean country. The flat prairie roads offer easy navigation year-round, though winter snow can create challenges on rural routes. The village of just over 1,000 people serves as a waypoint between Springfield and Champaign-Urbana, with the old Illinois Central Railroad depot still standing as a community center.
