Orchard is a farming town of 410 people in north-central Nebraska, reached via Highway 20 from Norfolk (35 miles east) or O'Neill (25 miles southeast). The area supports corn and soybean farming on rolling prairie, with the Elkhorn River nearby. The town's working grain elevator from the 1920s still dominates Main Street.
