Orchard is a farming community of 69 people in northeastern Iowa's Mitchell County, reached via County Road B17 off Highway 9. The town sits among rolling agricultural land about 15 miles from Osage and 30 miles from Interstate 35. Its 1918 red brick schoolhouse remains the town's most recognizable landmark.
