Oneida Castle is a small central New York village of 600 people in the historic Mohawk Valley. It sits along State Route 46, with easy access to I-90 about 15 miles south for longer trips to Albany or Buffalo. Most visitors come from Rome (10 miles north) or the Syracuse area via a 45-minute drive. The village is named after a historic Oneida Indian fortified settlement that served as the eastern capital of the Oneida Nation.
