Omaha is a small East Texas town of about 1,300 people, located 20 miles northeast of Marshall via State Highway 155. Visitors typically arrive from Interstate 20 at Marshall, then drive north through the Piney Woods region. The town was named after Omaha, Nebraska by Midwest settlers who moved to Texas in the late 1800s.
