Olustee is a small farming community in southwestern Oklahoma with about 550 residents, located along US Highway 62 about 12 miles west of Altus. The town sits in rolling wheat country near Altus Air Force Base. Most visitors arrive via US-62 from Altus or take Interstate 44 from Oklahoma City through Lawton. The distinctive red and white water tower serves as a landmark visible across the flat prairie landscape.
