Olivia sits in south-central Minnesota farm country, about 100 miles southwest of Minneapolis via US 212 west and Highway 71 south. This agricultural community of 2,200 makes its living from the surrounding corn and soybean fields. Most visitors arrive on Highway 71, which runs north-south through town and connects to Willmar 25 miles north. The town's claim to fame is a 50-foot tall fiberglass ear of corn standing guard on the north side.
