Olivet is a tiny farming town of 63 people in southeastern South Dakota's Hutchinson County. Highway 18 runs right through it, connecting to I-90 about 85 miles from Sioux Falls via Freeman. Most visitors are passing through on rural routes, while locals make short trips to Parkston for services. The town's grain elevator dominates the prairie skyline and still operates during harvest.
