Oliver is a small Lake Superior community in northwestern Wisconsin, home to 462 residents in Douglas County. Located on US Highway 2, it's 15 miles east of Superior and connects to the Twin Cities via I-35. The town sits in boreal forest country where lake effect weather creates heavy winters and cool summers. Oliver preserves one of Wisconsin's last historic one-room schoolhouses from the early 1900s.
