Olinda is a small upcountry community on Maui's slopes at 2,400 feet elevation, about 20 miles from Kahului Airport via Highway 37 and 377. The drive takes 45 minutes through pineapple fields and ranch land, offering cooler temperatures and valley views. Most visitors pass through en route to Haleakala National Park. Olinda Road literally dead-ends at the national park boundary.
