Old Harbor is a remote Alaska Native village of 162 people on Kodiak Island's southeastern coast. No roads connect it to anywhere - you can only get there by flying into Old Harbor Airport from Kodiak or Anchorage, or occasionally by boat. The maritime climate brings frequent fog and rain but keeps winters relatively mild. The village's Russian Orthodox church from 1800 is one of Alaska's oldest surviving wooden churches.
