Okabena is a farming town of 210 people in southwestern Minnesota, reached via Highway 60 about 12 miles west of Worthington. The main route for out-of-town visitors is I-90 to Highway 60 north, while locals use County Road 35 for connections to surrounding agricultural areas. The town features a restored 1901 railroad depot that now serves as a historical museum.
