Oilton is a small Creek County town of about 900 people, located 15 miles northeast of Cushing via Highway 16. Most visitors arrive from Tulsa (45 minutes via US-412 and Highway 18) or Oklahoma City through Cushing. The town sits on rolling Oklahoma prairie where oil derricks once dominated the landscape. Its distinctive water tower displays "Oilton" in bold black letters, visible for miles across the flat countryside.
