Ohatchee is a small Alabama town of about 1,100 people located 15 miles southeast of Anniston via I-20 Exit 185 and Highway 77 south. The drive from Birmingham takes about an hour on I-20 east. The town sits along rocky Ohatchee Creek, which gave the community its Creek Indian name meaning "river of rocks."
