Ogden is a small farming town in central Iowa, located right on US Highway 30 about 15 miles west of Ames. The historic Lincoln Highway provides easy access from either direction, while State Highway 17 connects north to Fort Dodge and south to Boone. Most visitors arrive via US 30, either from I-35 near Ames or from points west. The town's distinctive water tower features a Native American chief's head that's been a Lincoln Highway landmark for decades.
