Odum is a small farming town in southeastern Georgia's Wayne County, surrounded by pine forests and agricultural land. US Highway 1 runs right through the center, connecting it to Savannah (about 70 miles east) and Jacksonville (90 miles south). Most visitors arrive via I-95 to US 1, while locals make short trips to nearby Baxley for shopping. The town still operates one of Georgia's last working turpentine stills.
