Oden is a small mountain town in Arkansas's Ouachita region, reached via Highway 8 about 15 miles east of Mount Ida. The community sits among forested hills where old railroad grades have become popular trails. Most visitors pass through while exploring the Caddo River area or heading to recreational spots in the Ouachita National Forest.
