Ocoee is a suburban city about 15 miles west of Orlando, accessible via the Florida Turnpike and State Road 50. The Turnpike connects it to Tampa and other major cities, while SR 50 provides the main east-west route through town. Orlando Executive Airport is 12 miles away. The city hosts an impressive annual Founders Day Festival each October with one of Orange County's largest fireworks shows over Lake Starke.
