Ocheyedan is a farming town of 500 in northwestern Iowa's lake region, accessible via Highway 9 east-west and Highway 60 north-south. It's 25 miles west of Spirit Lake and 15 miles north of Sheldon, with the nearest interstate 45 miles away. The town still operates a classic single-screen movie theater from the 1940s.
