Oceanport is a small Monmouth County borough positioned between the Shrewsbury and Navesink rivers, just inland from the Jersey Shore. Route 35 runs north-south through town, connecting to Red Bank and Long Branch, while Route 36 provides east-west access to the Garden State Parkway. Most visitors arrive via Parkway exits 105 or 109. The former Fort Monmouth military base, which closed in 2011 after nearly 100 years of operation, is now being redeveloped into residential and commercial spaces.
