Ocean Gate is a small waterfront community on the Toms River in Ocean County, reached via Route 37 East from the Garden State Parkway (Exit 82). The borough sits on a peninsula between the Toms River and Barnegat Bay, popular with day-trippers and weekend visitors from New York and Philadelphia. Ocean County Airport is about 15 miles west via Routes 37 and 70. The town features one of New Jersey's last manually operated drawbridges.
