Oakfield is a small farming town in southeastern Wisconsin, about 60 miles northwest of Milwaukee along Highway 26. The main route runs north to Fond du Lac and south toward Madison, with Highway 175 providing east-west access to Interstate 41. The Rock River flows through this agricultural area of gently rolling farmland. Oakfield still operates its own independent telephone company, established in 1902, now providing fiber internet to the rural community.
