Oak Grove is a small East Texas town of 615 people, about 30 miles southeast of Dallas via I-20 and Highway 34. Most visitors arrive from Dallas for the rural atmosphere or pass through on longer trips along I-20. The volunteer fire department has protected this farming community since 1979 from its Highway 34 station.
