Oak Grove is a small city of about 8,500 people located 30 miles east of Kansas City along Interstate 70. It's primarily a commuter town for KC workers who want affordable housing with easy highway access. I-70 connects it west to Kansas City and east toward Columbia, while Highway 7 runs north to Blue Springs and Independence. The city hosts a Missouri State Fair Community College campus that serves the eastern Jackson County area.
