Highway 92 provides the main east-west connection through Rock Island County, while local roads link the town to the Quad Cities metro area. Most visitors are locals making short trips to nearby Moline or Rock Island. The area sits in classic Illinois corn and soybean country along the Mississippi River. Milano Golf Course nearby features two 18-hole courses that have drawn regional golfers since the 1960s.
