Novinger is a farming community of about 400 people in north-central Missouri, 15 miles southwest of Kirksville via Highway 6. Highway 149 runs north-south through town, connecting to Highway 36. The area features rolling agricultural land with corn and soybean fields. The town still has its old butter churn factory building from when Novinger supplied wooden churns across the Midwest.
