Norwood is a tiny Warren County community on State Route 80, about 30 miles northeast of Augusta and 15 miles from Thomson. Most visitors arrive via US 78 and local highways from Augusta or I-20 through Thomson. The area features rolling Piedmont hills with pine forests and farmland under Georgia's humid subtropical climate. The historic Norwood Plantation House, an 1850s Greek Revival mansion with distinctive white columns, stands as the town's architectural centerpiece.
