Northwoods is a small city of 3,600 in north St. Louis County, about 12 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis via Natural Bridge Road and I-70. Take I-270 to the Natural Bridge Road exit for the most direct route. The city sits near Lambert Airport (8 miles) and provides easy access to University City and other inner suburbs via Hanley Road. It's part of a cluster of historic streetcar suburbs that developed alongside neighboring Pagedale in the early 1900s.
