Northfield is a small North Shore suburb about 25 miles north of Chicago, home to around 5,500 residents. Take Lake Shore Drive to US-41, then west on Willow Road for the most direct route from the city, or exit I-294 at Willow Road from O'Hare. The town sits between Winnetka and Glenview, connected by Happ Road and Winnetka Road. Its crown jewel is the 150-acre Happ Road Prairie, one of the last tallgrass prairie remnants in the Chicago area.
