North Bend is a farming town of 1,100 people about 35 miles northwest of Omaha in Nebraska's Dodge County. Highway 79 runs north-south through town, connecting to Scribner and the Omaha area, while Highway 109 provides east-west access. Most visitors drive from Omaha via US-275 west to Highway 79 north through typical Great Plains farmland. North Bend operates Nebraska's only municipal wind farm with three turbines that have powered the city since 2005.
