Norphlet is a small Arkansas town of about 1,000 people, located 15 miles west of El Dorado via Highway 15. The main route is Highway 167 running north-south, connecting to Little Rock 120 miles north and Shreveport 80 miles south. South Arkansas Regional Airport sits just northeast of town. The community's red and white checkerboard water tower serves as a distinctive landmark visible from the main highway.
