Nissequogue is a small waterfront village on Long Island's North Shore, accessible via I-495 to Exit 56, then north on Route 111. The scenic Route 25A runs along the Sound for a more leisurely approach. This quiet residential community features historic homes and several marinas overlooking Long Island Sound. The village contains the 521-acre Nissequogue River State Park, where hiking trails wind through wetlands where the Nissequogue River meets the Sound.
